Course: Spanish 2

Prerequesite: Spanish 1 

Building on students' knowledge of basic Spanish grammar, Spanish 2 introduces the imperfect, past perfect, present perfect, pluperfect, future, future perfect, conditional, and imperative forms of verbs. This course builds on the grammar and vocabulary learned from Spanish 1. Students will be expected to complete reading, listening and writing projects outside of the curriculum assignments. In general, all quizzes will be completed at home, but tests will be given in class. Students wishing to take this class, who have not had our Spanish 1 class previously, will need to take a placement test to determine if they can take this course.

• 3 Subject notebook and folder or binder (continued from last year is best)


• 3x5 cards to be used as flashcards for vocabulary and verbs.


• Student planner or composition notebook to write down homework assignments


• Pens, pencils, and highlighter


• Optional but recommended: Spanish/English dictionary
