Course: Elementary Spanish

Elementary Spanish is an engaging, vocabulary focused introduction to the Spanish language for 3rd - 6th grade students. This class will build conversational confidence using memorization, hands-on activities, games, music, art and food! As vocabulary is expanded, students will be introduced to key grammar foundations that will set them up for successful mastery of Spanish in upper level studies. Some topics we'll cover are as follows:

• Seasons, Months, and Years


• Clothes


• Weather


• Family 


• Animals


• Food


• Colors and Shapes


• Activities 


• Manners

Parent resources will be provided weekly, both in a convenient take-home folder and via email. Parent kits include a recap of what your students are learning, vocabulary flashcards, links to any relevant music or online resources, and any homework/family projects. All homework assignments are optional and provide the parent flexibility to utilize this class according to their students needs and goals.
